Align the cartridge body of a Stanton 500 E MK II?

I have tried with several different protractors to align my Stanton E MK II, and when I put the stylus point on the crosshairs, the body will not square within the grid on any of them...not that it's crooked, it just seems like there's more cartridge body on one side than the other. Anybody else have this problem, and am I missing something obvious? The stylus isn't bent, by the way. I'm having some decent amount of inner groove distortion, and people say this stylus will track pretty well, so I'm curious.
