Well today should have been filled with deep joy on the turntable front but instead has ended with a significant increase in flipping frustration levels ( :silentscream: ) I took the trusty old Clearaudio Reference up to a friendly dealers ( a 200 mile round trip in a cab ) to exchange for a Simon Yorke S7 ( I've already got an S4 upstairs somewhere ). The trip was a dream and we got there in record time with no real traffic on the road (un-natural for a holiday weekend ).- I spent a very pleasant hour having a friendly chat about all things esoteric (He had a Rockport Sirius which I was eyeing up - my best come hither looks ). To cut a long story short - I've assembled it and I'm short one nut - one that holds the cartridge onto the tonearm and I'll be George Washtington if I can find one of these little blighters in the house - aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhh It's the little things in life that can.... Always keeps spares All the best - Andrew
Poor guy! Have him post a few of those things to you! I have spares.... somewhere. Maybe. Good advice, A!
Now that shows true commitment mate. Good on you. I love the look of the Simon Yorke tables, and I'd love to hear one. I know about his small production runs, so there aren't too many around. Regards, Geoff
Beautiful tables -- since you're not using your S4, why don't you just pack it up and ship it my way. I'll even pay for the shipping http://www.recordplayer.com/pixarc1.htm
