Today I scored a used, like new copy of: at my local store. The only reason I knew to grab this was because of Randy's thread.
A friend of mine sent me a copy of this and I'm really digging it. They have two new releases due out at the end of May.
I remember seeing this video for the first time in the late 90s and thinking, "well, I guess there's hope for country music after all."
Funny you post this as the other day I came across a mixed CD I made way back when and saw that I had a few Chris Knight songs and checked and found him on Tidal. I've been listening to this album quite a bit. He never topped it but some of his later albums are good as well.

I love Chris Knight's debut album, but my favorite album of his, by a wide margin, is A Pretty Good Guy. Any album that boasts 4 songs as good as "Becky's Bible," "Oil Patch Town," "Down The River" and "North Dakota" qualifies as an instant classic in my opinion.
I absolutely love that song. I have Levon's record that includes it as well as Steve's. Both are great, as is the live version you posted.
But, then again, nobody sings a song like Emmylou. Of course, having Ricky Skaggs, Emory Gordy, Hank DeVito and Albert Lee in your band doesn't hurt.
