My oldest nephew was born with a heart condition and has had quite a few open heart surgeries so this story hits right at home with me.

Thanks, Brad. My Dad's side of the family has a history of heart issues, so it's something that's never far from my mind. You can't be too careful.

When my mother had her heart attack a couple of years ago, I was the one who called my sister right away to take her to the hospital.

    Nice post; thanks.

On a related note, I'm happy I finally got to see Amy live several years ago. I've also completed my LP collection of the four different album covers for Unguarded. I believe only two of the four were used for CD releases.

She's a great live performer as well but as she said, take care of your heart so that you take care of yourself.

    Thanks for posting this, Brad!

Fortunately, I'm not aware of any history of heart problems in my family... but I'm one that does need reminders to look after myself quite often. And of course, this includes eating properly, getting the right exercise and rest. As all of us should! Otherwise we can create problems for ourselves.

I decided I'd share Amy's message to Facebook - I'm a bit of a fan of hers anyway and have a friend on there who probably has as much of her music as you do (if you don't count various remasters...) :D

Thanks for sharing this. Women have different symptoms of heart attack than men do, and a first heart attack is more likely to be deadly to them.

I hope she's encouraged her husband to cut down on between meal snacks!

After all, she is one of the few artists in her genre to get the constant reissue/remaster treatment.

Exactly right. This is why I was aware of the signs.

A recent set list from Longwood FL on February 28:
    Stay For Awhile
    Find a Way
    Angels
O How The Years Go By
    1974
Say Once More (the song from Lead Me On is the one she usually performs, not the song from Never Alone)
    Curious Thing
    Big Yellow Taxi
    Good For Me
    Anywhere For Jesus
    Saved By Love
    That's What Love Is For
    Children of the World

    Lead Me On
    Takes a Little Time
    Lucky One
    Missing You
    Ask Me
    Better Than a Hallelujah
    Thy Word
    Father's Eyes
    El Shaddai
    Out In The Open
Sing Your Praise To The Lord
    Baby Baby
    Every Heartbeat
    Emmanuel
    I Will Remember You
Encore: her live cover of Put a Little Love In Your Heart

In short, a very nice blend of some of the CCM material and some of the more mainstream pop material.

Thanks for bumping this thread Brad!

Even though February has just passed, these issues remain. :) Looks like a great setlist there.

I spotted an album of hers the other day in a local charity shop - one I didn't own so of course I now do. :D It's Somewhere Down The Road from 2010, so comparatively recent... I've been working through playing other things I've bought over the last few weeks so will get to it soon now and am looking forward very much to hearing it. It contains some new and 'updated' songs so will be interesting and I see it was released to some very good reviews.
