There was some lament here that "Animal House" was out of print on DVD. Well, in another marketing manuver by the film industry, the DVD is being re-released in another super deluxe special version, this time with cast members playing their original charactors in the present time, being interview some 25 years later!!

Should be fun, look for many Animal House DVDs on eBay in the next few months. Maybe I'll list mine! :D

This summer makes it's 25th anniversary of Animal House.

Hadda feeling there'd be some kinda anniversary issue.

    I'm all for it.

Should be interesting to have Stephen Furst playing a slim, trim Flounder all these years later. He's lost a whole bunch of weight over the last decade.

Here'e the cover art from "The Digital Bits":

I miss tha classic cartoon art from the movie poster and previous videos. I'm kind of sick of the "big star's head" artwork that is dominating video boxes these days. :(

I'm tired of all these 2 discs editions. Most extra features aren't worth the time.
    A good extra feature:
Punch Drunk Love: has a commercial for the Discount Mattress Outlet with Phillip Seymor Hoffman that's a riot.

I had a feeling they were waiting until this year to re-issue Animal House on DVD. I wonder if Universal has got Scarface on schedule for this year since it's been 20 years since it's original release. Would love to see The Jerk get released in widescreen for it's 25th anniversary next year.

I had heard he HAD to slim down per doctor's orders.

His health was at a big risk.

I do believe you're right, due to diabetes.

The impressive thing is, he actually did it.
