Anna Kendrick "Cup song" now a music video...

Anna Kendrick singing "When I'm Gone" while accompanying herself with a plastic cup became a viral sensation after she performed it in the film "Pitch Perfect" and also on David Letterman's show. This led the director of Pitch Perfect (Jason Moore) to suggest they make an official music video for the performance.

I enjoy it, she's adorable, funny and has a good voice (she was nominated for a Tony award at age 12 so she has cred). I was really surprised when I initially saw the Letterman performance because I didn't even know she sang at that point, I just knew her from films.
The next movie she's doing is a full-blown musical (The Last 5 Years) and they've also just announced a sequel to Pitch Perfect so looks like she'll be singing more on film in the future.

 

I thought the "cup" song was about Anna's bra size

...oh, and before someone says "this thread is worthless without pics"...

I found her cute and it was rather impressive.

She could do a duet with Beyonce or Fergie. They could call it 2 girls 1 cup.. xD

 

During the actual music video there is a long uninterrupted take as the camera follows her from the back, through the kitchen, into the dining area and all around, I'm guessing that took quite a few takes to get through.

I just love Anna Kendrick and she just shines in Pitch Perfect!

I also love her song Cup (When Im Gone). In fact, I've been searching for videos, demos that would help me with my own rendition of the song, which I will be performing for our music class. Highly inspired and motivated, I stumbled into this short video online. Not really quite the demo I was looking for but I think this is just simply amazing. Cups + some juggling moves!

I think she has more talent than the female lead of Twilight... (I'd rather not say her name, really). I think Anna Kendrick has far more talent. I wonder she didn't get the lead part in that vampire flick. But well, I guess everything has a reason. I think Pitch Perfect fits her more. It's a great movie to showcase such wonderful voice.

Go go go Anna!
