Another cautious request for a subforum - hear me out...?

I really like your idea for selfish reasons...
I gave up on vinyl a zillion years ago so I'd much prefer to avoid trudging through all the threads related to vinyl. FWIW, I'm much more interested in hi-rez multichannel music.

I agree and think we need a multichannel forum next.

There aren't nearly enough threads for that.

Another useful forum would be the "Imaginary Forum" for the vast number of imaginary threads, such as:
If John and Paul had never met?
If Tom Petty had never broken his hand?
Would the Monkees have been a better band without Peter Tork?
    Who's really the fifth Beatle?
Did Brian Wilson actually hold the Beach Boys back?
Was Phil Spector a genius or a mad man?
    Was (
fill in the blank) the most successful band ever?
If my Aunt had balls, would she be my Uncle?

    You get the idea.

With both computer based audio and streaming such a growth factor in music listening I think it would make sense. In fact I wouldn't mind if there were music and hardware forums for vinyl, optical disc (CD, SACD, Blu Ray), computer (based on CD ripping, needle drops and downloads) and streaming. Seems like it might clean things up and allow members to focus on their area of interest a little easier.

Well, we don't get much call for Beatles around here, sir. :D

What's to stop those same people from doing the same thing, even if there's a subforum? They still have access.

On another note. I see folks are afraid of change around here, which is kind of normal I guess. Like one poster stated, it's funny discussing software in a hardware section. When I first joined, I found myself looking for various subforums to start a post and didn't find them and hoped I posted in the correct forum.
