Garth reveals tracks for 10-disc target set
18 previously unreleased tracks, plus special "friends"
MINNEAPOLIS, MN (Oct. 24, 2016) – Target Corp. (NYSE: TGT) and Garth Brooks today announced the complete track listing and pre-order information for “Garth Brooks: The Ultimate Collection,” the 10-disc boxed set featuring Brooks’ new studio album and nine discs of curated music from his celebrated catalog. The collection, available only at Target, features 18 previously unreleased tracks, including the highly-anticipated 25th anniversary edition of “Friends in Low Places” with special guests George Strait, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line and Keith Urban.

“Garth Brooks: The Ultimate Collection” ($29.99) will be released on Nov. 11, two weeks prior to the studio album’s national standalone street date on Nov. 25 for Pearl Records, Inc. During the pre-order, which began today on Target.com, fans can purchase a limited-release $29.99 holiday bundle – the 10-disc collection and “Christmas Together,” the first-ever duets album with Brooks and wife Trisha Yearwood.

In addition to the 25th anniversary edition of “Friends in Low Places,” which appears as one of two Target-exclusive tracks on his new studio album, the boxed set also includes “The Road: The Live Recordings.” The two-disc live album features some of Brooks’ biggest crowd pleasers and special collaborations, including never-before-released live recordings of “New York State Of Mind” with Billy Joel, “In Another’s Eyes” with Trisha Yearwood and “American Pie” featuring Don McLean.

I appreciate Garth and my Wife LOVES him, so I have this coming. She's looking forward to the new album - included in the box -and has been listening non-stop to the Garth channel on Sirus/xm. It's excellent, with lots of involvement by the artist.

 

Not bad for 30 bucks if you are into Garth Brooks.

 

I normally wouldn't be a big enough Garth Brooks fan to buy a 10 disc box set but this sounds like too good a deal to pass up.

 

Too bad this price point is not the case for artists that this forum adores.

That's a pretty good value if you're more than a casual fan I think.

 

No matter your opinion on Garth's music, the man gives his fans bang for their buck. That's a huge amount of music for a low price. I saw him in concert about a year ago, the tickets were very reasonably priced and he put on a very passionate high-energy show, one of 4 that weekend in the same arena. He loves what he does and it was very evident that he was having the time of his life up there.

 

$30 for the new album 2 weeks before it's released, the new Christmas album (not yet released) AND 9 CDs of back catalog?

I mean, whether or not you like the guy, you've got to admit that's amazing value for the fans...

 

I'm kind of surprised he has such a huge fanbase after being out of the spotlight for so long.

 

love him, hate him, or couldn't care less, one thing for certain, garth brooks does not ever fleece his fans

except for his ticket prices at the wynn in vegas, which i doubt he had anything to do with.

 

Yeah, he's certainly loyal to them (and Vice-Versa). He knows where his bread is buttered.

Wow! At that price point especially it would make for a great Christmas gift for any country fans in your family.

 

I live in Canada and now Target ships there. The shipping and handling plus duties made this set more expensive but at least you get the Christmas album thrown in as a bonus. And it is a nice set.
