Any opinions on Nagra VPA 845

Does anyone out there owna pair of Nagra VPA 845 monoblocks or have experience in how they sound ? If so I'm all ears (which for a potatoe isn't unusual )

I heard them, but not in comparison to anything I knew and not with speakers I knew, so I won't make a judgement here.

You can be sure this is very good engineering. It is a prestige product though. Buy it if you are really rich.

The devices come with hoods for the tubes, you should use them for electrical safety.

 

I've also heard them - driving the big Avantgarde horns. They sounded magnificent with the Nagra pre-amp. I didn't have a reference point as it was the first time I heard those horns.
