    Ooh, interesting.

Got on ok with Reflektor, loved the Suburbs and various bits of the back catalogue.

Funnily the new single (title track) sounds slightly like ABBA (in a good way).

What a great surprise! Figured the new album was coming pretty soon but no idea it was being announced today until it popped up in my email inbox. Beyond thrilled ... Day and Night bundle preordered.

Ticket gods permitting, Atlanta, here I come in September!

Ordered the night version, even though the postage is a bit punitive (as another post has mentioned).

A little like "Dancing Queen", but the hook really resembles the string intro to "If I Can't Have You" by Yvonne Elliman back in the late 70's.

Looking forward to the album but the song is not doing it for me. They seem to be going further and further into a direction I don't care for.

They just played a surprise set at Primavera (they're headlining tomorrow I think) and I happened to be standing in the right place to have a front row view. They played the new song, and I had to walk away as it was absolutely terrible. It sounded like bad Eurovision.

In fairness, I've only ever seen them once before (at their first UK gig in 2005) and hated them then, so it's not like I'm a fan.

Haven't had a chance to listen to the new single yet.

This looks like it might be a single LP? That would be nice, as their albums were becoming increasingly bloated, so after their last 80-minute album I was really hoping for something a little more concise. Then again, the first single is 5+ minutes, so who knows.

I love the new track. It swirls around effortlessly like the best classic disco, recalling an earlier period of "everything now" mentality. I think there's more going on here than initially meets the ears.

had no idea they'd signed to a major label! as a fan of AF from the beginning, i fear this might be the stinker in their catalog that sets them back.

Reminiscent of Neon Bible's attitude, with an obviously far more "pop" vibe - totally dig the sentiment (as I love the aforementioned album); the music's growing on me. Certainly very curious to hear what else is coming.

People are citing ABBA, but I'm also hearing a lot of Simple Minds on this song too, it's like a hybrid of those two groups.

New song's pretty good. Sounds like they threw everything in the mix but the kitchen sink, though.
