HI All...I was offered the following discs, all sealed at $55.00 each. Can anyone tell me if any of these command that price or are very scarce? I'm relatively new to collecting Jazz.
    1. Miles Davis All-Stars Quintet/Sextet
    2. Miles/The New Miles Davis Qunitent
    3. Miles/Cookin with the MIles Davis Qunitent
    4. Getz Meets Mulligan in Hi FI
    5. Various artists/Jazz Samba
    6. Bags Meets West
    7. Goin Out of my head
    8. Full House
    9. Traneing In
    10.Cattin with Coltrane and Quinichette
    11.Soultrane
    12. Chet Baker in New York
    13. Tenor Madness

I'd think they'd be a lot cheaper on eBay. Did you try there?

Several of those were cheapies at Music For A Song at one time. $55 is steep.

Many are overpriced. But if you can afford them and don't want to spend time looking elsewhere, go for it. As long as you and the seller agree on the price, it's fair, isn't it?

I've purchased probably 70% of the listed titles in recent months at a maximum or $30US each.
Don't know how rare they are, many of the jazz titles are easier to find than the rock. I think maybe Jazz Samba and Soultrane would the rarest of the bunch. Perhaps you can add Bags Meets Wes and Tenor Madness to that list of 'rarities' too.

The Miles Sextet and Quintet discs can still be had for $10 each from musicforasong.com!

I'm no mathematician, but $55/13 titles is $4.23 each. That seems like a very good price to me for all of those gold DCCs.

Taking another look at this list, I'd say you could get most of these used off of Ebay for no more than $20-25 each, tops. Tenor Madness and Jazz Samba may be a bit more.

$55 each is way too much!
