Interesting. You feel like On The Corner & Jack Johnson, for example, are too rock? What about something like Water Babies since it was recorded in 67 and 68? Just curious since he released so much stuff out of order.

There are bands and artists that I'd recommend have a cut off point, but the completist in me may still go beyond that point. Having said that, I still will not buy We Can't dance no matter how often I see it in charity shops.

..but I quite like lists, so here goes...

    Queen - Hot Space
    Floyd - Final Cut
    Stones - Tattoo You
    Sabbath - Sabotage
    Tull - Stormwatch
Beach Boys - Love You (but please give 15 Big Ones a miss...)

I mean, I could go on....

I was that way for a long time with that album, too, but I eventually got it for almost nothing and was glad I did. I Can't Dance is still one of the most awful songs ever, and the majority of the album is pretty forgettable, but Fading Lights is incredible; Driving the Last Spike is pretty great, too. Those two songs make it worth it, especially if you can get it in the cheap bin for a couple bucks.

I don't listen to any PFM after Jet Lag, and I don't listen to any Uriah Heep in between Firefly and Sea Of Light.

    Porcupine Tree....Deadwing

I have tried to listen to the last two albums and get into them multiple times but they just don't interest me. Way too heavy metal.

The only Steven Wilson solo album that caught my attention was Hand...Cannot...Erase. The others were boring IMO. His solo work comes nowhere near Porcupine Tree IMO.

    Elvis Costello: Imperial Bedroom.
    Joni Mitchell: Shadows and Light.
    Paul McCartney: Flaming Pie.
    Neil Young: Ragged Glory.

I'm a latecomer to Jethro Tull, and I've found "Stormwatch" to have some great moments. I did pick up "The Broadsword and the Beast" and found a few I liked.
So far, "Minstrel" and "Songs From the Wood" are my favorites, although I've got a soft spot for the single and EP tracks that were collected on "Living in the Past." Great stuff.

The only early one I've not heard is "This Was." Not crazy about the early blues sound .

I forgot Springsteen. My cut-off has always been Nebraska, though now it's the only album of his I still listen to.

Linda Ronstadt. I've tried many times, but can't get past Simple Dreams. I do have the later albums, but it's rare that I play them.

My cut-off for Bonnie Raitt used to be Green Light, but I've softened my stance in recent years.

I stuck with them to the end, but never liked Imitation Of Life or Man On The Moon singles.
