Hi all, I just installed an Audio Technica 540 cartridge on my Music Hall 2.2 replacing the Tracker cartridge. Does anyone know if I need to adjust the VTA? If so, how does one accomplish this? Many thanks.

You can generally tell by looking at the bottom of the cartridge. The true method would actually require a microscope. But you a pretty close if the bottom of the cartridge is parallel to the record's surface. This won't work for some cartridges, but for an AT is should work fine.

I used to own an MMF-2.1. There was a set screw on the post that the pivot sits on. You'll need a very small hex key to loosen the set screw. From there you can raise or lower the pivot.

On the MMF 2.2 it's a pair of set screws at ~120 degrees apart on the back of the mount bracket.

I'd go with DocBrown's suggestion. I haven't owned the Music Hall in over 10 years. So I was only giving my best recollection. I just know it was pretty simple to adjust.

Yep, that's it. Easy to do.
