I agree Todd. Let's here it for 100% original reproductions! Enhanced for todays standards, that is.

Yes, I think they really do the trick!! Also, very nice on the eye (unless it's John & Yoko's "Two Virgin's"/along with the paper bag, they should've also included a free blind fold)...

I've just been listening to "Catch the Wind" by Donovan, remixed and remastered by Guru Steve Hoffman. I enjoy listening to this CD because the music sounds good, not because I collect Donovan CD's.

I'll certainly get a few of the Audio Fidelity titles, and am sure to enjoy them.

And by the way, there are some non-SH CD's that sound okay.

    Kevin,

The final artwork is off to the printer, and the disc is being manufactured. Now, the components have to come together and----Bingo!

    Hey everyone,

I read my artwork criticsm post from the other day and I'm sorry I was a bit harsh with my wording and the way I expressed myself. I hope I didn't ruffle any feathers. Sometimes I'm not great at getting my point across without fumbling the ball. Sorry again...

Well, it's a few posts up. I thought I was just being too critical. I sometimes read some stuff I've written and I thought some of the "words" I used were just not on the mark. Don't worry, it's just me. I sometimes think I get stuck in being closed-minded, negative, etc.

All Audio Fidelity and S&P reissues that use original covers will have the actual cover reproduced somewhere in the booklet in the original form.

Doesn't bother me, Todd. Nit away.

Audiophiles know that perhaps the Sonny Clark Jazz trio from 1960 is a good album, but the average Joe out there needs a little cover "boost" to help the disc stand out from the crowd. Only one way to do that; an "in your face" cover "title treatment".
It may offend our audiophile sensibilities, but it will sell more discs that way.

You do whatever you have to if it increases your sales Steve. That means you make money, the company stays in business, and then we get to see MORE product from the company. Thank you.

Interesting that the same folks who rail against tampering with the sound of old recordings are so accepting of cover art changes...

Either way, the integrity of the original release is violated.
