I don't think it's been discussed here so.. I've always kind of wondered how Mal Evans escalated from Beatles roadie and all around helper to production work with Badfinger? I have never read that Mal had any arranging or any sort of musical knowledge as far as I know. Was he allowed to produce just because he sat in on a zillion Beatles sessions ? I read the Without You book but it was so many years ago I can't remember if this was ever brought up in it.
I totally agree! I'm pretty sure their first album from 2011 "Upland Park Road" is out of print on CD but you can buy the flac version on Bandcamp and burn a CD if you want it. They remind me of classic Badfinger.

I don’t know if it was said earlier but as a 15 year old boy with raging hormones, the No Dice cover was like electric sex. I’d spin that disc and stare at that cover and get carried away to........being in the same room with her!
I believe much of his personal diaries are locked away with family or may only exist in fragments after his death in 1975. Maybe portions of Mal's story will be revealed in the future work by writer Mark Lewisohn Home
