dredg (not sure they have officially broken up or disbanded, but it seems like it, and it's a shame)

Yes to all this. Now, let's consider those who stay with the band and have that same determination...Bono, for one!

If by 'original', you mean the John Cale VU, I agree. One more LP with him would have been perfect.

Yeah, technically they didn't break up. But c'mon.

I love the Use Your Illusion albums, and would have liked to see where they would've gone after that.

The Yardbirds, though McCarthy and Relf sadly were just not into it anymore. Well, at least we did get Renaissance and some other band out of it. :)

It somewhat sounds that it was a miracle that Cargo even got done

I liked The Police but never cared much for solo Sting.
    Seemed pretentious and boring.

I'll second this in a big time way. If only they had taken a year off after Combat Rock and that grueling tour schedule.

Jane's Addiction. At the time I thought it was a cool and brave move, but looking back now I think they could have done at least one more album. And I wish they had, because they were so great, and nothing the later incarnations have done has come close to the magic they had in the classic era.
