A casual listener might say Stereolab. I would not.

NOT the Ramones. There's more than four Ramones' albums.

    Just no.

And anyway, only 2 proper studio albums could scarcely be "over and over again", even if they do sound the same, which they don't.

I can't believe it took till the 2nd post for AC/DC to be mentioned.

General truth: music you don't know well or don't like tends to sound more "all the same" than music you do like or know well.

That’s an exercise you do in music school not an idea for an album. It’s like copying a painting by an old master. You do it to learn, but you don’t sell the results. Maybe you give it to your Grandma.:)

Beach House could easily be mistaken for making 'similar' albums, but there's always a very subtle shift in their sound, and a progression from the last one. They also seem to improve as they go, producing five quality albums in the last 8 years. Their most recent release '7' exemplifies this perfectly.

I think people are just using this thread to identify acts they don't like.

I can't stand AC/DC, and I love Enya, but they both fit this thread.

Has Enya ever worked with different producers or toured?
    Really peculiar career.

This thread goes a bit nonsense, someone's dropping names like Wilco or The Clash. Really?!?! Have you heard 'Sandinista!"? And I cannot think about any band which made such a great stylistic leaps in a short period of time. Especially punk band.

I would drop Interpol here. They more or less stick to the same formula they debut with.

"On Parole" is one of my favorites too. But if you say that 'Another perfect day' and 'Sacrifice' sound same, you are deaf :D

Or 'Rock N Roll' and 'Inferno', or '1916' and 'Bastards' etc...

Really? You think that side two of LZIII sounds like the previous album? You think that In Through The Out Door sounds like Presence?
No. They only had two albums, of course, but Closer is more refined and subtle compared to the raw debut. I expect that, had they continued, they would have followed a similar trajectory as New Order towards electronic music, only with better lyrics!
