Indie? On the contrary, she's a corporate machine.

I'm glad things turned around for her. I always root for the underdog. (Unless it's Lady Gaga) ;) "All For You" is Janet at her most bubble gum Pop. I love it!! It's so underrated.

Let's not get started on Janet. I have too many potent opinions about her. So underrated.

Criminally underrated. :sigh: Control and Rhythm Nation are two of the best albums of the 80's and of the Pop genre.

Lmao, I was watching this video yesterday of her diva/shady moments and back when she was in DC she was a straight up B word. Just unecessarily rude and shady.

No, she's indie, that's why she doesn't get hits on the radio anymore. She sings for the music not the charts.

I love all these fans were falling over themselves for Unbreakable (admittedly a good album) like it was some second coming of Christ. That album's closest relative is 20 Y.O., which all of her fans loved to drag through the mud for being too "urban." Funny how marketing can blind some people.

Yes lmao, Farrah hah it so bad. And the part where Michelle was like "If I were a Queen everything would be free", Beyonce was like "Really, girl bye".

And let's not forget the "Lights, somebody gettin fired, hey hey" lmao

I think Beyoncé has been in the lead whenever I've seen it, until today. But people haven't really been rushing to vote in this poll since it's been up. :)

I actually saw this yesterday too. Funniest (or saddest) moment was when Michelle fell over on stage, and Kelly in particular looked mostly disgusted and they just went about their business.

20 Y.O. isn't as bad as the rep it gets but is was a huge step down from Damita Jo. IMO. Now that's an album (outside of the core fanbase) that hasn't gotten it's just due.

To be honest DC was a mess. I love the music bur Beyonce was a bully and had the freedom to because her Dad ran the show. Kelly was the biggest ass kisser and that's what got her far. She knew not to get in Beyoncé's way. Michelle had to learn the hard way but she was always so clumsy. The other three girls especially Farrah got it bad. Beyonce didn't like her and she never took the group seriously. She showed up late for rehearsals, couldn't even harmonize and would get an attitude all the time.

Beyonce was like "I hate when Back ground singers think they can have an opinion, someone please tell this girl to stop talkin"

And the plastic surgery question :biglaugh:, Kelly cut Beyonce off but Beyoncé was looking like "Uh, why would I think of having plastic surgery I'm perfect" lmao

I know, but it's so hard for some of us not to be...so much of what they are doing is so derivative.

Destiny's Child spits in the face of all the hard work the Spice Girls did to change the definition of girl groups. They took the mold of The Supremes, The Chiffons, and the Mary Jane Girls and took boys out of the equation, split away from their managers, stole their master tapes, and wrote their own songs. Then DC comes along and undoes all that hard work. Girls, bye.

I'm not particularly a fan of either, so my criteria for evaluating the strength of the singles is which I could stand to listen to the longest before tapping out. Beyonce's voice grates on my nerves, so I'm going with Rihanna.
