    Yes...I agree. "It's A Shame About Ray" is such a great record. Alternative pop at it's best. Very nice to listen to and always puts me in a good mood.

    a good number of my friends were into Modest Mouse in the mid-late 90s... seemed like they made a big impact with their music.

    Another one is Built to Spill - Keep it Like a Secret -- perfect guitar pop album. first track is absolutely joyous

    I really don't know if it's the best album of the 90's but I do know it's my favorite.

    Nevermind ---- many will disagree, but hard to deny. I don't listen to it that much anymore, but when they come on the radio, especially Breed, I know I drive a lot faster. They are easy for many to bash, especially baby boomers, but Kurt had soul. Like it or not.
