Best rock band to hail from a non-English speaking country?

    New Orleans
    Germany is one place to look -- Can, Kraftwerk, Neu et al
    Sweden has given us lots of good rocking bands like the Nomads, the Hives, Hellacopters, etc.
    Japan has Shonen Knife and Guitar Wolf
    Holland has Golden Earring and The Outsiders

    sure there are lots more. But who's the best?

    Thoughts?

    Mana, from Mexico is pretty popular, at least around here. I'd put Caifanes as the best from south o' the border though.
