I've often wondered if there are any fans on this forum of the late comedian Bill Hicks. He seemed to be more popular here in the UK than in his native US, although I know he appeared on the Late Show With David Letterman regularly throughout the 1980s and early 90s.

I haven't been able to find a full listing yet as to what is on these CDs and DVDs in this new box set. All of his previously released audio albums are here... possibly with bonus material. The individual DVD releases from over the years I guess will be included here as well. It states that there will be quite a bit of previous unreleased material as well.

I'm hoping that one of the DVDs is going to include all of his performances on the Late Show With David Letterman, but I'm not holding my breath. I would like it to be as complete as possible. I'm a big fan, as you've probably guessed from my avatar.

If anybody here can find a full listing please post it. This is a US only release, which seems odd given how successful he was in the UK.

For people in the UK... I've worked out that this will cost nearly half the price if you buy it from Amazon.com rather than Amazon UK. This is because it's classed as an import on Amazon UK. It's released on 11th September 2o15.

I bought the posthumous Rykodisc release "Dangerous" circa 1997. Made a big impression on me in my early 20s.

*Okay, he never actually said this, but given how much material he stole from Bill I'm just going to assume...

Fantastic news. I went through a bunch of his videos on YouTube last year and was reminded all over again of how brilliantly funny he was. I used to live near the club he got his start in, but sadly never saw him perform live.

Some local folks have been trying to raise money to erect a statue of him: http://www.billhicksstatue.com/

I hope the box set is put together better than that press release..

Never ceases to amaze me how an official press release can contain so little information about what is in the product and such tiny picture that you can barely see.. I mean - they are trying to sell the product right?

I have since been in contact with Steve Hicks (Bill's brother) who informs me that the audio albums will not have any bonus material on them, although Rant In E-Minor and Arizona Bay may be released individually at a later date with bonus material from those shows.

Although the label hasn't released the full details yet, he told me that in addition to all the previously released CD's and DVD's there are five of Bill's shows on audio that have never before released (including Flying Saucer Tour Vol. 2). Also, there are 4 video shows previously unreleased. The DVD menus contain 6 more previously unreleased songs recorded by Bill as the menu music. There will also be a 44-page photo book with many rare photos of Bill in it.

Unfortunately, no performances from the Late Show With David Letterman will be included this time around.

Looks like they finally updated the Amazon listing with some details.
Looking forward to this. I love the old archival footage.

Lucky to have Bill's brother, Steve, who is a true fan and archivist!

Not sure how the DVD's will be divided, but here's what's in the box.

A bit of a bitter sweet release for me. Love that it came out, yet a bit melancholy that this will probably be the last time we get 'new' content from Bill. I would have absolutely loved to hear these unreleased shows 24 years ago. Strange that some of these shows didn't get put out as a stand alone release years ago... in light of the repackaging of already released material that came out before this.

Either way its a good day when new Bill Hicks comes out.

Set's here.. Packaging majorly sucks.. light, flimsy and will get trashed if put in a mailer.. Cd's and DVD's were pretty much all out of their holders when it arrived.. Shame on such a great set..

The content that counts though and that gets 10/10..

Is the Relentless video 60 minutes long or 48 minutes long?

If it is 60 minutes, what is the quality of the video between 45:30 and 57:00?
