    Always enjoy this guy's performances.
Recently finished watching the three seasons of ' Goliath '. It was an up and down show but Billy Bob was great throughout.
He always brings that certain something to whatever movie it is.
He was excellent in ' Sling Blade ' and the only redeeming factor in the absolutely awful ' Armageddon ' although in a couple of scenes he looked like he wanted to be elsewhere.
    Your fave Billy Bob performances?

I loved his performance on Knots Landing! Seriously I like him in Goliath, Fargo and Friday Night Lights. And his largely forgotten role as Angelina Jolie's husband. :yikes:

    Bad Santa... a holiday classic.

It was funny, watching the first few episodes of Goliath... I kept thinking he was just doing Bad Santa as a lawyer.

Sling Blade by far is my favorite. Total work of genius. (I wish that a couple things about Karl's character from Some Folks Call It A Sling Blade could have also been mentioned in the movie - they were pretty brief but explained a lot)

I also loved Bad(der) Santa (but NOT the Director's cut version of Bad Santa! which was not Billy Bob's fault)
    and Fargo season 1.

    Sling Blade is awesome.

He’s pretty hit or miss otherwise; more bad than good in my opinion. He’s done some really bad movies. I guess he needed the money.

He and John Cusack played well off of each other in "The Ice Harvest."

up and down with thorton for me.

sometimes i find him captivating and other times i cannot even watch him.

i enjoy his 'intelligent' roles over his 'hillbilly' roles if you know what i mean.

I can’t actually name a single film he’s in but I really liked him in all 3 seasons of Goliath. And Fargo.

Besides BBT in Goliath, who are the other film stars to star in a tv series besides Glenn Close (Damages), Kevin Spacey (HOC), and Jennifer Anniston & Reese Witherspoon (The Morning Show)?

He was good when he played the president in Love Actually. I'm not familiar with any of his other films.

I totally agree, but at the he time I thought it was my expectations that made me perceive it as awful. Interesting to see someone else state that opinion. :righton:

' Pushing Tin' was so-so. Some good bits in it but it wasn't a shining hour for Billy Bob or John Cusack. Angelina was sexy ( as usual ) in it.

Another hilarious short bit is his 'mountain man' character in the movie Deadman.
Iggy Pop (!) is in this scene as well.

Talk about making an impact in a small part! I had no idea who he was but he played it with total conviction.

I'll watch him in just about anything. SLING BLADE is a classic, and he's been great in GOLIATH. I've heard that his director's cut of ALL THE PRETTY HORSES is supposed to be pretty remarkable.

I just remembered that these days, I get a lot of people that tell me I look like him. Like, it happens a lot. I dunno about that, but I liked it better when people used to tell me I looked like Brendan Fraser's character in "Airheads" :/

You've never seen "Sling Blade"? That is his most well known and iconic role. "A Simple Plan" and "The Man Who Wasn't There" are probably close behind as is "Friday Night Lights" and "Monster's Ball"
