I have a choice to get this Sundazed mono re-issue or a first press 1968 STEREO in VG++ condition ...

Which is the best option? please help thank you

If this is among your 10 albums of all time, I don't see any reason why not getting both.
I ordered my mono from Sundazed but hasn't arrived yet and I have the original stereo so I can offer a comparison when my copy arrives.

Did anyone pick up the Waylon Jennings records? Still wondering whether the demos are good enough to make these worth picking up.

A note that if you're in L.A., you can still pick up almost all the RSD releases. I went to Amoeba last night and they had probably 75% of the releases still in stock. I also stopped by Canterbury in Pasadena and they had a lot of things Amoeba didn't. Amoeba only has a limited number of the releases in their online store, so they must be holding back most of what they have for in-store shoppers.

These are the only things I noticed not being in stock anymore at either of these stores, so I'm guessing these are the hardest to find just about everywhere now:

Bill Hicks (this was the only RSD release I never saw anywhere, even release day)
    Blue Oyster Cult
    Chris Bell
    Richard Hell
    Sun Ra
    Dave Matthews
    The McCartney Christmas singles
    Muddy Waters

Everything else I could think of, I still saw at least one copy of at one or the other of these locations, even the other jazz titles, surprisingly.

Is it true that the mono USA is a fold-down? I think that I read that in this forum.

  11. It’s is not a fold down says Sundazed Bob Irwin.

Thank you grabbed it from 37 euros delivered which is good compared to what i would have had to pay with shipping costs from the U.S.

Still, NO comments from the peanut gallery of those that bought the Turtles LP regarding the sound quality? Day-um!

I finally went to the record store today 184 hours after Black Friday/RSD started. Fortunately, there was no line :) and even better, the BOC Rarities lp set was still there!

The demos are VERY good, but the pressing is crap. Tons of non fill, and weird sounds that must be remnants from the demo tape.

Still plenty of RSD stock in stores around town today including multiple Paul McCartney singles, lots of Doors and Richard Hell.

Was tempted by the Willie Nelson, also are the two J Dilla albums worth picking up?

Give us a minute to listen to the damn thing. I've got some backlog to get through.

A minute is fine, but it has been 8 days and at least 5 people here have bought it. Surely somebody must have given it a quick listen by now. :)
