I just picked up what I believe to be a 1st US pressing of Hunky Dory and have been researching it. The matrix numbers are stamped:
    APRS-5947-1S H
    APRS-5948-2S H

The sleeve is matte with a black border and a definite greenish tint on the front. The rear does NOT have RE or anything besides 5/LSP4623 to the lower left. It makes no mention of Wakeman appearing courtesy of A&M. All first pressing characteristics I believe. However, it is snugly in the original shrink with the brownish speckled David Bowie - Hunky Dory title sticker instead of the clear one. Think this one just sat around the plant long enough to get the 2nd sticker? I can post pics when I get off work. Any help is appreciated as the research I’ve done is just confusing me. lol. It’s a beauty and I’m going to probably sell it since I’ve already got the best sounding (from general consensus- I’ll test it later) 3T/3T Bobil/Rasputin (in rare laminated sleeve) UK 1st pressing. Thanks!
