It's apparently not really disco but Philadephia International Soul.

I'm sticking to disco. That's not a good acronym.

I'm looking forward to this. Her second album Boys Don't Cry is a wonderful record.

I just got the INTO COLOUR exclusive EP from Amazon.uk. It's got three tracks from the album, "Reach Out", "You Just Don't Know People", and "Dangerous", which we've now discovered seems to have two versions. The video, posted by Nicko above, has a slow-starting verse that then leads to the Philly-sounding part. The EP version just has the uptempo part from the beginning.

I really like that Rumer has different artwork for the CD and LP versions (which she's done for all 3 of her albums so far):

Cool, cheers! "Seasons" also has an alternate cover for the Japanese CD.

I like the tracks I've heard so far so I ordered the vinyl and cd ep from Amazon uk. I really hope this is a big success for her, the US release won't be until next year...hope they could plan a nice tour around it:)

I've gone ahead and done that too loving the previous two albums to the point of getting the European vinyl editions and odd eps. The tracks I've heard played on local radio here sound promising.

Agreed. Actually I have the US and UK vinyl versions of the "Boys Don't Cry", since the track lists differ somewhat! Since she is now living here in the States, I also hope she tours here on on a bigger tour -- would love to see her in a small venue (theater or club would be wonderful)!

I am listening to "Dangerous" right now on Spotify, and it absolutely sounds like something that might have been on Love is the Message.

And "Reach Out" is pure Karen.

I actually really love it. I may have to order the CD from amazon.uk. It's much cheaper that way.

I like Rumer and have seen her live and like all 3 of her albums - though there's more autotune on these records than needs to be and it's distracting.

What I hear in a lot of Rumer's work is serious emotional turmoil, I know she's had a couple 'breakdowns' where she had to take quite a while to regroup. This tends to really charge the lyrics of her songs, just listen to You Just Don't Know People....now THAT is a bad state to be in! She seems to be working on healing, and I really do wish the best for her and hope she gains peace of mind.

    From her latest e-mail update:

    B Sides and Rarities CD.
So many of you have told me that you want an album of rare and unreleased Rumer tracks. As a result I have compiled a 17 track disc, a collection of B sides, outtakes, and live radio broadcasts. (I couldn't get any of the Live from Daryl’s House music licensed for it unfortunately.) A handful of them you may already have in your collection, but I know there will be a lot of tracks on the CD that you may not already have. The new CD with exclusive photography, shot in Siloam Springs, Arkansas by Miles Witt Boyer, will be available on the UK and European Tour, as well as online stores, including my new label and international record store Night Owl. We will give you all the purchase links as soon as this product becomes available.

    :)

She says she's singing the Bossa version of Dangerous on ITV today ( Mel & Sue show).
