I agree. Singer is a good choice. But, I guess this means that the script penned by J.J. Abrams is out, then? Gary
Was that the wacky script circulating months ago, with all sorts of extended Krypton/Jor-El scenes & large amounts of Superman "revisionism?" As much as I love Alias, if Abrams' script is out, then all the better.
I don't think he is good enough, and frankly, I don't think you cheapen a $200 million movie by associating it with a TV show. To be taken seriously, this production shouldn't have anybody from the TV show.
But is kind of wierd that a Tv show about Superman, from Warner Bros, don´t follow the logical line of the story. I think you can´t split the two shows. In the year 2004 you´re going to have two "officials" Clark Kent? Sounds wierd to me..
Doesn't seem that weird to me. The 'official' Superman novel (Last Son of Krypton) that was published as a tie-in to the original Richard Donner film doesn't even take place in the same universe as the movie. Marvel currently has several Spider-Man comics, and one of them (Ultimate Spider-Man) takes place in an alternate continuity where, among other changes, Mary Jane discovers that Peter is Spidey years before they graduate from high school. The 'X-Men Evolution' TV cartoon has a different continuity than the movies, which have different continuity from the comics. Likewise, the continuity of the CGI Spider-Man on MTV is surely different from the Sam Raimi films. People just want a good story. Consistency is no big deal.
