CD / DVD2 channel player recommendations

Hello,
New to the forum. I'm trying to find out the best possible scenario for my system.
Rotel RB 1070 Power Amp, Parasound 850 Pre Amp w/monster IC's ,NHT ST4 speakers,PS Audio Extreme Prelude speaker wires.
I'm trying to find the best 500 -800 DVD or CD player and interconnects,
I want a deeper soundstage, clean natural highs and fast tight bass. Nice open sound.
I got her by inquriing about the Grover and Wolf SR 2? IC for around 150....

Can anyone assit offer opinion etc on a player and IC's...
