Heading there tomorrow (Sat) for a concert. Any especially good spots for used CD/record hunters?

    Thanks!

    Hi:

You could try out the following:

    They have three sections
main floor which is used and and
    new product including rock/pop, soul

The Basement which is mainly dance product

And the underground which is punk and alternative

Talk to Kevin the main buyer if you go there.

    They have another location at
    2600 Broadway as well.

    There's another store called
C's Records and Tapes located at:
    5131 Dixie Highway

about 80% of the store is used.
    They have 45's 78's and LP's and
CD's. Talk to Clarence if you go there.
Mainly Blues, Country and Oldies at this store.

    And of course

They have a DVD-A listening station
among other things in their store.

Hopefully that will help you out.

Sorry I didn't see this post in time to comment. I agree with what's been said so far. Bardstown Road is the place to go, for Ear Xtasy (which has L-ville's best selection, a healthy amount of imports and a used CD section, but which is pricy compared to some places). Better Days is OK at best, although they have a lot of used vinyl to peruse. I like Great Escape- it has only used product but also sells LPs. Off of Bardstown Rd., there's a Coconuts out in St. Matthews that also has used product and used to have a lot of sealed DCCs until I cleaned them out a year or two ago.:) There's also a CD Warehouse on Hurstborne Ln. worth a visit. That's about it. While you're there you should stop at W.W. Cousins, a restaurant with the best burgers in the state. I literally go there every time I'm in L-ville, and I'll be back there this week.

Hmmmmm - I useta be fond of Genny's Diner when I wanted a burger; the Sweet Daddy Platter had a 1 and a quarter pound monster (I never had the nerve to order one)...

Yep...Bardstown Road has several decents shops there. There's some nice bookstores around there as well.

Craig...I have yet to find any decent shops in Evansville. Maybe you could name a few besides Coconuts.

    Thanks all!

Didn't factor in the time difference coming from Indiana so I wound up being unable to hit the stores this time. Definitely will next time, though!!
