Did Oppo demo their new tube-based universal player?

 

My guess is MQA streaming (16 bit & higher) sometime soon, on that fancy new TIDAL streaming service.

That would eliminate a computer and server for the user.. Especially if you have Merdian's hardware. ;-)

Jeff, are you talking about TIDAL (Streaming), MusicDirect (Vinyl),and TonePublications (Reviews) have made the "Best of three worlds" through a partnership?

A friend of mine recently brought this to my attention, knowing that I use computer and software solutions primarily for my music and video playback. I have a variety of proprietary and open source programs, with foobar2000 my go to for music. If this new software provides a user interface or functionality anything similar to the standalone Sooloos music server I would be extremely interested. Went to the website but it doesn't seem to be active yet, so if anyone has more information to share, I would greatly appreciate it.
