    RE : Daylight Again

I bought mine from Bull Moose okay, not Amazon. So how in the hell did it get delivered today, on a Sunday ?!?!?!?!

Add to that, I slit open the shrink, and the record is already inside a replacement inner sleeve, alongside the lyric-printed paper sleeve ?!?!?

Never saw that before that I can remember either ! Angels ? Of course I'm thankful, but spooky, no ?

EDIT : A Google search informs me that Yes, Priority packages are now delivered on Sundays, and good old Bull Moose chooses Priority for their Free shipping when shipping vinyl.

My new vinyl copy of CSN arrived today, and it sounds amazing. The original LP sounded pretty good, but this beats it easily. Beautiful pressing, too. Haven't compared it to the AF cd yet, but I'm reluctant to put much stock in comparisons of vinyl and cd versions. Oh yeah, and the Buffalo Springfield box is just aces.

An album already in my DNA, since moving to Tennessee in 1972...Rio Grande Mud... I can hardly believe how Chris' mastering has given this Classic new life !!!!!!!

    VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ! :yikes:

I wish someone could assure me that the Sept. reissue of Clapton's Journeyman is going to use the Bellman mastering of 2010.

Imagine only having heard Something Big on CD since the release of the Playback box, and then dropping the needle on Chris' vinyl remastering ?

    Night...and day. :yikes:

Is there a comprehensive list of all Chris Bellman mastered albums?

Looked on discogs. Not really complete it seems.

You can try AllMusic, but I’m not sure if it’s any more comprehensive than Discogs.

How long has Chris Bellman been mastering records? He’s always reliable, Whenever I see his initials in the deadwax I know it’s going to be a good mastering/pressing

Interesting- I have a feeling my WHO'S NEXT is the latter because it's sort of soft and reticent sounding. Wish I had the earlier pressing. Hey, the "RL" Zep II made
needles skip, and look how that turned out in the end.

    @Chris B - Congratulations on your Grammy !!!

From Bernie Grundman's Facebook page :

"Mike Bozzi & Chris Bellman WIN GRAMMYS! We're so happy to shout about this today.
Mike Bozzi for " Record Of The Year" Post Malone & Chris Bellman "Best Engineered" for BECK
Mike's had 14 nominations beforehand so coming up to these things is never a lock even if you have 2 in one category as we have seen many times before... Chris? Well he's been part of making hit records since before BGM!
You have to understand that before the early 2000s , mastering engineers never received any Grammy's . In fact I am sure we could do some mock up number of "if they were giving Grammy's before X date how many would Chris & Bernie have?" and it would probably be 30-40. Thats not being generous, thats real. Chris is a legend. He's sometimes is re-making history on some of these landmark vinyl reissues & re-masters as well. So a very heartfelt Congratulations!
In closing , it makes it that much sweeter when you know these guys. Their work ethic, diligence for excellence, and their personalities are so fantastic. With hearts & ears of gold, Its really nice to see them take one home for themselves and sure, for the studio! We can't help but to be beaming! So thank you to the Grammy Voting Body out there for supporting the things you believe in, and thank you to all of you who are always aiming for excellence in your music , we will do our part every time , no matter who you are !
Wishing you all the best, and if you need us ? We are always there for you Full Service Mastering Facility In Los Angeles site or just give us a call 323-465-6264 and let us help your dream sound become a reality ! "
