I agree the Reiner is good; methodical one might say. It was on the CD Living Stereo reissue series as well:

My favorite Nutcracker Suite might be Ansermet. In "the Royal Ballet" set.

My "collection" of Christmas music is very limited. For years it consisted of Vince Guaraldi's A Charlie Brown Christmas but now has doubled in size to include Diana Krall's Christmas Songs in High Res 24/96 download from HDTracks.

    Merry Christmas Everyone

My favorite sacred/traditional Christmas song is "O Holy Night." (I prefer tenor to soprano in it.) Especially the crescendo at "Fall to your knees . . . "

My favorite pop song is "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" by Darlene Love. Great tune, great sound. What a vocal!

    Merry Christmas, everybody.

Merry Christmas to you. :) That is also a favorite of mine. My favorite popular rendition is Bing's later recording (c1961 was it?). Followed by Nat.

Gosh she's gonna lasso and wear him out. :D

I made a needledrop of an old 10" WLP of Rosemary Clooney - Irving Berlin's White Christmas a couple of days ago. So, the wife and I listened to White Christmas and Snow together.
