During the past year, I've seen many changes at CNN. Where the heck are all of their broadcasters such as:

    Bobbie Battista
Flip Spiceland (heard a rumour he was fired by CNN)
    Valerie Voss
    Lou Waters
Water's co-anchor was Natalie (can't remember her last name)
    Donna Kelly
Connie Chung (I know they canned her just as the Iraq II war started)<-edit mud-

There are a few others who's names escape me at the moment.

Does anybody know where these folks are? Retired? Fired? Lured away? Changed professions? Does anybody give a rat's a*s?

    Just curious.

I really could care less about CNN.

They probably dumped these folks because they're getting their butts kicked in the ratings.

They may have gone the same way most bad sitcoms go.

That's working in entertainment. Brutal stuff.

I remember an interview Bobbi Batista did with Bono. She was fawning all over him like a school girl. He was somewhat flustered. Weird.

How do you compete against Fox News and keep any sense of integrity?

BTW, Steve Earle goes up against Bill O'Reilly on Fox News on November 3. Now, that will be entertaining!

Isn't the assumption that they had integrity to begin with? That's subject to debate, IMO. Fox has given viewers a choice.

I agree. CNN's always been so slanted to the right their integrity, as with most news broadcasters, was always questionable. And now Fox has taken their thunder, it's even more weird out there...:D

Sky, agree in principle. Most other media outlets these days say that Fox has a bias but refuse to admit they have one of their own. But we digress. What did happen to all those news readers from CNN?

I recently watched part of the last day of a co-anchor who quit after being with them from day one. Between the lines, it appears he was bypassed for a prime spot in the lineup and he did say something revealing when he referred to what CNN used to stand for. I paused for a second when he said, "used to.";)

I'm always interested to see these hard-working people hop from one network to another... Articles above give some insight...Musical chairs are business as usual in broadcasting.

As in most industries, in a 30 year career, you'll often work with many of the same people at different companies, whether you leave on your own or as a result of mergers.

Just as in most industries these days, doing your time and getting the gold watch are not encouraged by most employers imo . . . therefore the lack of loyalty is returned.

My TV set has been out of commission for over half a year and I haven't gotten around to repairing/replacing it. I hope Rudi Baktiar is still with CNN  She's the ONLY reason I used to watch CNN for news.

Jim, I'm not sure where she is at the moment. But acccording to Lycos' "The Lycos 50" (top 50 searches) searches for Rudi this year are up 150%. Bakhtiar is the number 1 news personality on the Internet. Lycos says one fan based Website refers to Rudi as "The Persian Goddess" and "the best looking newsbabe on cable, hands down."

Would you argue with that?

While searching for Rudi Bahktair I hit a Web site that said as of late September, she disappeared from Headline News.

    Anyone know where she is?

Is "Wolf Blitzer" REALLY a stage name? I thought it truly was his name.
Where else could you see a guy named "Flip Spiceland"?

Both MSNBC and Fox are eons better than CNN. I can't watch it anymore.

She was on vacation in late September but she's back now. Be sure to watch HLN from 9-10 EST when they go "bannerless" -

Rudi's even been known to pop up on page 4 of stevehoffman.tv's very own TOP BABE: Non-tart category thread!
