Cold Endings (Songs that faded out but have since been released with a Cold Ending)

    I had read somewhere, IIRC, that the remastered CD restored the original fade, but I haven't heard it myself so I can't say for sure.

    Maybe this is just album version versus the 45, but I had never heard "Pick Up The Pieces" from the Average White Band until it was issed on an Atlantic collection CD.

    The Knickerbocker's "One Track Mind" comes to more or less a cold ending (actually, they just kind of stop playing) on Sundazed's The Great Lost Knickerbockers Album. It's a nice true stereo mix as well.

    Most versions of the Beau Brummels "Laugh Laugh" I've heard end with a fade, and when I bought the first Nuggets compilation I discovered that the song actually ended cold.
