    I saw a post on the Ry Cooder mailing list about the Library Of Congress archive of these color photographs. Very interesting stuff since most of the time we only see black and white pictures from this period. There's an even larger black and white archive there also. The photos are available as uncompressed TIF images as well, sometimes as HUGE files.

    thanks, Craig. I've had that web site as a favorite for a long time. There are hundreds of reproductions of stereo (3-D) photos here also. Also, there is a web page of Woody Guthrie's various correspondences and writings. Great site to get lost in!
