Agreed, excellent ep. Loved the Japanese texting bit. Jim Rash is absolutely fabulous!

It took me 3 times to understand what drunk Britta was saying here. Thought this scene was funny when I didn't understand, and is even funnier now that I know.

Britta: "I can do a Banksy-style stencil of a dog and spraypaint it all over the school."

Jeff: [way too enthusiastically] "That sounds great! But, first why don't you get a bunch a coffee, drink all of it, then get some more and bring it back here."

I just re-watched episode 3. Still laughed many times and saw things I missed the first time.

I love the joke about the dog getting the four year degree and there is a note that that is 28 dog years.
I love the dog attack ad.
I love when the new Shirley says she doesn't own a TV and the new virtual reality inventor guy stares at her.

How do you write a joke like the taco in the file folder? I can't image how jokes like that are created. It's so out of the blue.

Also, this time I was trying to read what Jeff was writing backwards while Chang was talking about shooting a porno at City College. When you do that you might react like Jeff when after Chang leaves he realizes what Chang said. It would be cool if that was planned.

Episode 4 was the best yet, in fact it harkens back to the excellence of seasons 2 & 3.

Episode 4 is one of the best episodes that the show has had. Truly well written and acted. A solid episode all the way through.

I heartily agree, best episode yet from a very good season. Gaydean, Gaydean, Gaydeeeeeen. :D It's hard to say which bit was the funniest as there were so many. Absolutely loved the director's inventive abuse of Chang; the whole gay arc executed perfectly (as always) by Jim Rash; the (original) Planet of the Apes quote by Keith David in response to Terrorbytes [sic]; the The Karate Kid final act. Cool. Cool Cool Cool!

This fourth episode was incredible - and I think the longest one so far.

I only wish they'd stop making Britta such a pathetic loser character. In season 1 she was a lot more savvy, someone people wanted to meet and be with, but now she's become a dopey character that poops her pants!

I think things will turn around for Britta, I think they are slowly building to something major for her character later in the season. That's just a hunch of course...

I feel the same way. There's a lot pointing in that direction.

Another great episode with so many good moments, like Abed doing Jerry Seinfeld - she sleeps on a couch - he's a couuuuucher; the whole telepresence thing; at the end doing a Dalek parody - eeeeradicate, eeeeradicate, eeeeradicate, eeeeradicate.... :D

Community ep 6 was pretty terrible. Easily the worst episode of an otherwise great season.

After such a great episode last week?! I haven't seen it yet, but will watch it tonight.

I liked yesterday's episode. I liked it more than the previous two. It could really do no wrong after the cop told Annie not to call cops boys. And I liked it at the end when the kid was trying to put up with the older cop. It wasn't a great episode but I liked it.

I also enjoyed episode 6. It poked fun at the Sony hack among other things. "If you point that thing at me I'll eat it!"

Yeah, but it went on, and on, and on, while feeling flat and manufactured. Compared to the other eps, this one didn't even make me smirk. But hey, the batting average is still sky high.

Yeah, that episode wasn't nearly as funny as the previous ones. I hope they bring the funny with the next episode.

Episode 7 was a hoot. Felt more like an older episode of the show and not being locked into just one or two locations helped as well. "Brain-Windexing" is something I need to work into my normal conversations. :D

Favorite scene is Paget Brewster comforting the Dean.

Return to form with a very good episode.
Yep agreed, the standout scene. This show does meta jokes like no other. Here the theme was about the evils of advertising while the entire episode was a Honda product placemt ad! And the steel drums did have a payoff in the end! :D
