The original 720 Commerce Street Ernest Tubb Record Shop from 1947-1951, when honky tonk music was at its greatest period. This is probably on the night of a live show. They moved to allow for bigger crowds This location is now a parking lot. Tourists who park there can go see the second location
They even sold the storefront for a short time to promote George Strait. Why not rename it after a drug company? Ernest Tubb "The Grand-daddy of Honky Tonk Music" must be turning in his grave.
