In honor of P.F. Sloan's recent passing as he produced this and had a funny story or two about Bob:

Thank you, I never heard that before. Wonderful melody that song has, yes indeed, and I'll sneak in this "cover."

Performed in Coliseum, Charlotte, NC December 10, 1978 by Dylan's band and his female backing vocalists.

I guess little by little I start to develop a strange fascination for Dolly Parton. I mean the Dylan style harp solo was kind of cool.

Yes, Francesco de Gregori just released a Dylan covers album: its titled is "Amore e Furto": I hope you enjoy Bob Dylan songs in Italian language...!

 

Fairport Convention have a number of great Dylan covers, but my favorite is probably "Percy's Song". This is the live at the BBC version from Heyday. A powerful vocal performance from Sandy Denny (but then that's a redundant phrase if ever there was one!)


(But I do miss Ian Matthew's harmony vocals from the studio version.)
