Cher's 'Catch The Wind' is great.....as is My Morning Jacket's 'Wear Your Love Like Heaven'.

I love that one. Great cover of a rockin' tune.

On one of the "Golden Throats" LP's years ago, they had a cover of "Sunshine Superman" done by Mel Torme!! It cracked me up, it was kind of a brassy, jazzed-up tempo. Terrible, but amusing.

Oh yes, Sunshine Superman by Mel Tormé! Not terrible at all, IMHO, and featuring some funky bass by Carol Kaye!

Kenny Rankin does a nice (albeit short) version of 'Skip a long Sam'.

I think Sister Janet Mead did "Brother Sun, Sister Moon" as the A-side to "The Lord's Prayer", which became the bigger hit.

"Wear Your Love Like Heaven" Hendrix? Heard there was a demo in the vaults somewhere, as Jimi was considering a future recording of the song.

It's Teen Angel that's on the new Dean & Britta album, Back Numbers.

Yes, the Best of LUNA CD was released in the UK with a second CD that collects all the 'cover versions' they did... 17 tracks. In addition to those mentioned above they covered songs by The Velvet Underground, Kraftwerk, Beat Happening, Talking Heads, Suicide, Dream Syndicate, Fred Neil, Wire, Alice Cooper... all performed with that inimitable narcotic LUNA groove.

    Here's the track listing:

    1. Bonnie And Clyde (Fast)
    2. Indian Summer
    3. Ride Into The Sun
    4. In The Flesh
    5. Season Of The Witch
    6. Jealous Guy
    7. Neon Lights
    8. Sweet Child O Mine
    9. That's What You Always Say
    10. Everybody's Talkin'
    11. Outdoor Miner
    12. No Regrets
    13. La Poupee Qui Fait Non
    14. Only Women Bleed
    15. Dream Baby Dream
    16. Thank You For Sending Me An Angel
    17. Bonnie And Clyde (Slow)

Very Donovan-esque, yes. I know you block my posts, so at least others can see this.

But it's also the same backing track as the Donovan version (same producer, Mickie Most).

Also, Mary Hopkin did a few originals and possibly one cover on her "Postcard" LP produced by Paul McCartney.

In regards to "Museum," it is not the same backing track. I know this is an older post but have you listened to both versions recently? Not the same backing track. Pretty easy to tell.
