    League Of Modest Gentlemen:

    Guitar - Yngwie Malmsteen
    Bass - Gene Simmons
    Drums - Ginger Baker
    Keys - Keith Emerson
    Vocals - Axl Rose

Emerson probably doesn't fit here, he's just flashy on stage. I couldn't really think of a flaming arrogant a-hole keyboard player. Let's just do without keyboards here then.

And Duff and Annie were in a scene together on Portlandia.....hmmmmmm. Not sure where Slash fits in, but it just felt right. He and Nielsen are also acquaintances. Grohl and Nielsen work together on occasion. Grohl, Duff, and Slash played together on Slash's solo album.

    Damn this is hard.

Think I will try to name musicians I haven't seen in the thread so far (didn't see in first two pages anyways) to help me narrow it down. Also fill it with guys who sing and can write songs at every "position" in the band.

    Vocals/guitar - Steve Marriott
    Lead Guitar/vocals - Gary Moore
    Vocals/Bass - Phil Lynott
    Vocals/Keyboards - Steve Winwood
    Drums/vocals - Jerry Gaskill

If Gary Moore is not allowed since he did play with Phil Lynott in Thin Lizzy (amongst other things), I would substitute Paul Gilbert, another killer guitarist, who can sing in a pinch (plus write songs). Of course Marriott IMO could handle the guitar duties all by himself but I'd rather give him a guitar foil to spar with, like in the Humble Pie days.

I would think a band like this would implode pretty quick with so many songwriters & legendary frontmen all not wanting to share the spotlight & leadership, so a good name might be "Don't Blink".

I love bands that have members that can sing.
Drums - Phil Collins (was between him, Dave Grohl and John Bonham)
    Bass - Paul McCartney
    Guitar - Eric Clapton
Guitar - Dave Gilmour (Other guitarist I considered was Keith Richards and Robbie Robertson)
Piano/Keyboard - Brian Wilson (I also would consider Dr John and Elton John)

Chapter 2: The Last Band Member Arrives

The band members were done with lunch and all of the band members were excited about the last band member. The band members went to the window and waited for the last band member to arrive.

Edgar Winter: Is she here yet?

Eddie Van Halen: How do you know the band member is a she?

Edgar Winter: Because I asked our manager.

    Tommy Shaw: Where's our manager?

Ian Anderson: She went to get lunch.

Kelly Keagy: Who wants to go to the band room with me?

    Ian Anderson: I will.

Nancy Wilson: We should all go to the band room.

Edgar Winter: But I want to wait for the last band member.

    Nancy Wilson: OK.

I come back from lunch and go right to the band room.

    Paul Rodgers: I'm really excited.

Eddie Van Halen: There's our manager.

Kelly Keagy: When is the last band member coming?

Me: She's not coming until dinner.

    Edgar Winter: Bummer.

Eddie Van Halen: What a shame.

Ian Anderson: We have to wait until dinner?

    Me: Yes.

Nancy Wilson: What are we going to do?

Me: Let's go to the band room.

I open the band room door.

Me: Did everybody bring their instruments?

    Edgar Winter: I did.

    Nancy Wilson: I brought mine.

    Me: Great!

    A few hours later...

    Kelly Keagy: I'm hungry.

    Nancy Wilson: Me too.

    Me: It's time for dinner!

Tommy Shaw: Are we going to sleep here?

    Me: Yes.

Me: I have sleeping bags for everyone.

Eddie Van Halen: Why do we have to sleep here? Why can't we go back home?

Me: Because we will be going on tour soon.

Edgar Winter: But we just started.

Me: I know. We are going to wait a couple of weeks.

Me: What does everyone want for dinner?

Nancy Wilson: I'll have Burger King.

    Edgar Winter: I'll have McDonald's.

    Kelly Keagy: I'll have Wendy's.

Eddie Van Halen: I'll have Taco Bell.

Me: OK. I'll be right back.

Nancy Wilson: Does anyone have to go to the bathroom?

    Eddie Van Halen: I do.

Nancy Wilson: We should all go to the bathroom.

    Ian Anderson: Great idea.

Everybody comes back from the bathroom.

    Nancy Wilson: That felt good.

Kelly Keagy: It did feel good.

Ian Anderson: It always feels good when you go to the bathroom.

Tommy Shaw: I wonder if our food is here.

    Paul Rodgers: I'm starving.

    Edgar Winter: Me too.

The band members go back to the band room.

    Edgar Winter: Our food's here!

    Nancy Wilson: Let's eat!

    Me: Hey everyone.

    Nancy Wilson: Hey.

    Eddie Van Halen: What's up?

    Me: The food's here.

    Paul Rodgers: Awesome! Thank you!

    Me: You're welcome.

The last band member knocks on the door.

Edgar Winter: The last band member is here!

    Tommy Shaw: It's about time!

    Eddie Van Halen: Finally!

    Ian Anderson: She's here!

    Nancy Wilson: Is everyone excited?

    Kelly Keagy: I am!

    Paul Rodgers: I'm wicked excited!

    Ian Anderson: Me too!

The last band member walks in and the band members start eating.

    I hold Cece's hand.

    Me: This is Cece Worrall.

Me: She's very tired and she had a long day.

Me: You can talk to her and introduce yourself tomorrow.

    Later...

    Edgar Winter: I'm tired.

    Nancy Wilson: Me too.

    Ian Anderson: What a day!

    Me: Time for bed everyone.

Me: Get your sleeping bags and go to sleep.

Something that seems plausible and I think would actually produce some good music:

Vocals: chicks from First Aid Kid
    Guitar: M. Ward
    Bass: Chris Wood
    Keys: Chuck Leavell
Drums: some tasteful studio dude that wouldn't distract from the goodness above

    Chapter 3: Breakfast

Me: It's time to get up.

Ian Anderson: What time is it?

    Me: 7:00 AM.

Eddie Van Halen: But I want to go back to bed.

Me: You can go back to bed later.

Nancy Wilson: What are we going to have for breakfast?

Me: I'm going to make toast and eggs.

Kelly Keagy: Can I have an omelette?

    Me: Sure.

Paul Rodgers: Can I have toast?

    Me: Sure.

    Edgar Winter: What about sausage?

    Me: I didn't bring sausage.

Edgar Winter: Did you bring hashbrowns?

    Me: I did.

Tommy Shaw: I hope you have waffles.

    Me: I have waffles.

    Geddy Lee: Where's the cereal?

    Me: It's over there.

Eddie Van Halen: Somebody is still sleeping.

    Me: I know.

Tommy Shaw: We should wake her up.

Kelly Keagy: We should let her sleep.

Ian Anderson: She shouldn't skip breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

    Cece Worrall wakes up.

    Nancy Wilson: She's up.

Edgar Winter: I hope she's ready for breakfast.

    Me: Time to eat!

    Paul Rodgers: I'm really hungry.

Ian Anderson: I can't wait to try the toast.

Eddie Van Halen: I can't wait to have some eggs.

    Me: The eggs are ready.

    Nancy Wilson: This looks delicious.

Paul Rodgers: The waffles are ready.

    Edgar Winter: Awesome!

    Everybody starts eating.

    Me: How are the waffles?

    Ian Anderson: Delicious!

Geddy Lee: The eggs are delicious.

Me: I'm glad you like them.

    Me: Who wants some hashbrowns?

    Tommy Shaw: I do!

Geddy Lee: I'll have some hashbrowns as well.

    Me: Great! Here you go.

    Geddy Lee: Thanks!

    Me: No problem!

    Everyone is done eating breakfast.

Eddie Van Halen: Now can we go back to bed?

Me: Yes. You can go back to bed.

    Elvin Jones on drums
    John Paul Jones on bass
    Steve Gaines on guitar
    Janis Joplin vocals
    Keith Jarrett on Rhodes piano

Not sure what would come of it but I'm sure it would be interesting.

Wouldn't the Cookie Monster be better suited to the lead vocal spot? He's definitely got the experience. He's sung on over half the metal albums I've heard in the last decade.

Harry Nilsson -vocals, piano, occasional guitar and songwriting

John Lennon- vocals, rhythm guitar, some piano, obviously songwriting

Steve Marriott -vocals, some lead and rhythm guitars, some songwriting

    Jack Cassidy - Bass

    Jeff Beck - lead guitar

    Jaki Leibezeit -drums

The vocals would be rad, marriott-Beck-cassidy-Leibezeit could really go off too, that alone is a supergroup....

After the meteoric rise to fame of Gonzo the muppet,Cookie Monster was demoted to back up vocals. And while due to contractual obligations Cookie could not be entirely sacked from touring for legal reasons he was eventually situated into the background keyboard slot.
