Anyone remember the Danish band Gasolin' ? The most legendary band in Denmark. Besides the 7 albums they recorded with their mother-language, they released a couple of English language albums as well.
I gig in Copenhagen and other various Scandinavian cities/countries and have had many people request Gasolin'. I don't know if I've heard their music or not. Either way, Kobenhavn is one fine city!
Gasolin are legend as is Kim Larsen. Grew up on it and even saw Kim perform live in my little hometown some years ago.
Some Videos. Pure Legend... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BF9QETcSMaQ&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqNoxExITVw&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGXfFQ3rg-E
I've heard of them; I must have seen a review in Circus or Creem in the mid-1970s. That's all I can say though!
Think I first came across them with the release of Gasolin 3 but can't remember much about them after that.
Saw them live in Stockholm back in the 70's. Great show. They were very popular in Sweden in those days. Still got some Gasolin vinyl......
Their live album "Gasolin' - sådan" is highly recommended - but it was a pain to get hold of a non-remastered cd. http://www.discogs.com/Gasolin-Sådan/release/1046655 Both Gasolin' and Kim Larsen are victims of horrible remastering.
