The Red and Blue albums were released a while back and they were cut all analogue I think, so unless you have a subscription then they are two titles you are better off getting the 'normal' versions on Amazon.

Why would you think that these won't be the AAA versions as well ?

Because everything so far has been a new cut.

And besides, if it is the same, then why wait to get them when you can buy them now?

    I already have them.

I want these MPO pressings *as well*.

I expect the Red and the Blue to be new cuts of the 2014 AAA issues.

Yes, the extra printer inner was a nice surprise! The album jacket is also really good quality - I haven't played mine yet, but it loos pristine.

    Cool.

I just thought some of our younger viewers should be made aware of the facts before they spend their money.

I was lucky to pick up the 2014 Red and Blue AAA issues when they originally came out via Amazon for £20 each from a seller in the Netherlands - but I will probably get these as it looks like I've resigned myself to collecting all 23 issues of these anyway - will be interesting to see how the new DeAgostini issues fare against the 2014 issues!

Incidentally, I often see the Red and Blue collections for sale at over 30GBP -often 33.99.

The DeAgostini pressings will be only 24.99.

I feel our younger viewers should be made aware of that.

Which will be a bargain if they are also AAA.

Don't shoot the messenger btw, just trying to be helpful!

Was this also in the 2012 or is this unique to DeAgostini?

I've just seen it included in the 2012, on Discogs.

Thanks, thought it likely that that would be the case.

I was a bit worried when I went to get my copy from the newsagents yesterday afternoon, in the blistering sun (usually I've been on nights or off so can grab the latest one early morning...) but not because of the possibility of a 'spotty' pressing. ;) Happy to report it was ok when I got it home and I'm glad you were able to replace yours without any fuss. Also, I had my 2014 mono of PPM just re-delivered as I was out the other day and was doubly concerned that it had to make two trips from the local sorting office! Thankfully, once again it is absolutely fine.

A bit o/t but... this does take me back to the record-breaking (no pun intended this time) heat of the summer of 1976. I was a little lad then and my parents had bought my eldest brother the LP of Wings At The Speed Of Sound. Travelling from holiday somewhere in the big old Hillman estate car, they put it under the cases, rugs etc and it still came our more dished than anything I'd ever seen. It would play on some machines, which was better than nothing and I was probably given it because it did on my little mono machine. It became one of the very first LPs I ever owned and he gave me his Venus And Mars LP at the same time too although I think he got it second hand because the condition wasn't the best. Have nice originals of both now and could and would never be without them.

You're welcome and I did too, but I did have to satisfy my curiosity. :)

Has anyone got all of these albums already , Via other recent releases?. I am wondering if this full collection would fit in a 50 album full flight case?, which would work out significantly cheaper than the x2 storage boxes?. I'm thinking that these dedicated storage boxes are only made of strong re enforced cardboard anyways and are similar to the stereo and mono white and black storage boxes?.
