  2. I have some originals and the two Vinyl180 box sets but lack Toward the Within on vinyl which they didn't do so fingers crossed for that one. The Mofi of Into The Labyrinth will be hard to better.

Just got their email! I wonder if they are using original metals or if they are cut from digital files. I suspect digital files, which is not necessarily bad (I like the Cocteau Twins recent 4 AD lp releases.)

Nice!!! I have all the originals, but I recall my "Dying Sun" LP being a little beat up, so I might be interested in that whenever it comes out.

I wonder why they changed the cover for Into the Labyrinth? Pre Order for 2LP is only $20ish USD which is great!

Also, I wonder why they changed the track order vs. the original 2LP or Mofi 2LP?

Well if they changed the track order we know they aren't using the lacquers MFSL created which is a shame.
I have the SACD of Into the Labyrinth, it's gorgeous morgeous.

Even the original CD for Into the Labyrinth is well mastered so this should be great for people who want to get this album on vinyl....

or for very literal people who need to see an actual labyrinth on the cover!

Weird that they change Into The Labyrinth cover, one of the most gorgeous covers of all time...

Anyway, I just hope that in the future they allow MFSL to cut all of these like they did for Into The Labyrinth and Spiritchaser, two amazing MFSL releases, light years ahead of any other Dead Can Dance reissues.

    ;)

The first three are all up on Amazon, and inexpensive. Very nice.

Interestingly, the only ones cut by MFSL were the ones that were on a major label ... which leads me to think MFSL didn't license directly them from 4AD.

I go the first 3. I've only just listened to 'Into The Labyrinth' and it sounds lovely. I haven't an original to compare too but I do have the SACD Box which is of course all killer.

I take it they are flat, centered and silent? Do we know who cut them and where they were pressed?

They all look fine to me. MPO pressing, which is France I believe.

Hmmmm.... in my European mind Dead Can Dance only have been on ONE label. EVER: 4AD;)

Any more reviews? Do they come with high resolution downloads like the recent 4AD Cocteau Twins releases?

I'd love to hear any reviews as well, particularly on whether they're centered (what with off-center records being such a common problem these days).

I pre-oredered all three and received them yesterday, but I haven't had a chance to listen yet. I didn't receive any download code though.

I'm just home from the store. No downloads ( :shake: ) but they appear to be flat and centered. I won't play them until later.

If anyone can compare Labyrinth with the MOFI that would be fantastic (and could potentially save me forking out a ton for the MOFI).

The gatefold for the new Into the Labyrinth claims it's the MoFi remaster. Very interesting. The deadwax just has stamped numbers ... can anyone compare against the MoFi deadwax?

It sounds gorgeous, by the way.

If anyone who has Spleen and Ideal can report on the general quality and - especially - whether or not it's off-center, I'd greatly appreciate it!

(Listened to my original copy today and it's got just enough audible crackling on the quieter tracks that I'd like to replace it if possible).

My copy is dead-center, flat, but has a very slight whooshing between tracks. Not enough for a return.

Sounds gorgeous, indeed. I do not have a MoFi to compare it to.

My MOFI copy of Into the Labyrinth has these engraved (not machine-stamped) matrices:

    Side A: MOFI 2-001-A-RE-1 19093.1(3)... ps@mofi
    Side B: MOFI 2-001-B2 18978.2(3).. ps@mofi
    Side C: MOFI 2-001-C2 18978.3(3).. ps@mofi
    Side D: MOFI 2-001-D2 18978.4(3).. ps@mofi

    The "ps@mofi" looks like "psemofi"
