I doubt that. You are into this audio thing as much as anyone. And I understand getting audio equipment where you live is a challenge. Anyway it's just wire. I hope you don't think I am being condescending.

Anyway my choice for budget speaker wire is the Canare 4S8.

The "original" 12 gauge stuff that's been around since the beginning, in fact WAS their beginning
Silver soldered termination and shrink wrapped
Only a couple of years to turn green
Google it, I'm sure you'll find stories
The current production "original" Monster 12 gauge speaker wire sucks; I'll never buy it again
I've had to throw abou 80 feet of it in the shi**ter
I can catch Belden 12 gauge on sale at the building supply places from time to time for .49 cents a foot (versus a dollar or so), it's U.S.A. made and better wire than the Monster

I've got a few runs of the newer model "XP" and so far it's been "OK" but I don't use it, too light weight

Yeah, it's a steal! But I just thought... yes, I buy it, and like it. But what if I'm missing something?

But you have more experience than me :righton:

My new speakers are still in exile :sigh:

I have some local Monster retailer but didn't like their speaker wire. It looked like thin copper with a thick jacket. Well, maybe the fool sellers just ordered the 22 gauge

I'm the last person to worry about that! ;)

Not really, just had a spare fiver one day and the rest is history. No great expertise in just trying them out needed!

I still have the Audioquest Type IV but need to sell that on. 10m of the stuff taking up space!
