Ironically, about the only thing about it that underwhelmed me was the sleeve repro job... :)

Yes - not too bad overall. My favorite of his (had it when new). The KOB box was a disaster, and SonyGlue ruined the metal BB set (as well as the Armstrong Hot 5s/7s set but I digress).

Can't believe this 8 LP set is still only around £60 to buy new.
The CD box set is also excellent.

You are correct! Although I'm not an audiophile, and I still consider this one of the most unforgiving listens. Dance-club bass does not mesh with country and folk outtakes. Music is great though - a constant of the Waterboys.

no problems. John Foxx has been around for a long time. He was the leader of Ultravox back in the 70's - before they became a pop group. Foxx is known as the godfather of UK synth. Cathedral Oceans is his ambient based music. He has lots of synth / electronic albums released as well.

    have fun exploring. cheers

Alright, it isn't CD or Vinyl but it is a music box set with proper albums, the Chicago Blu-ray Quadio box set is the best in my massive box set collection.

Clearly, I misunderstood the question in the thread title which I took to mean a box set containing both vinyl and CDs.

The one that fits that criterion is undoubtedly Tell Tale Signs/Bob Dylan

Wouldn't mind a vinyl release of this without the opera.
Could replace it with When the wind blows.
