Does Anyone Know or Like These Guys? -The For Carnation*.

I heard this song at 3 am on the radio one night at work and thought it was different but liked it.

 

That's a thread title for posterity! That clip is intriguing though.

HOLD ON! Just googled them and I see this a Brian McMahan (SLINT!) band.

On a Slint related note, have you investigated the work of David Pajo, who has recorded as Aerial M, Papa M and Pajo?

"Live From a Shark Cage" by Papa M is a wonderful album, one of my all time favourites.

 

Doesn't he play with Yeah Yeah Yeah's on tour, as well?
I know that last year, he tried to commit suicide (this was right after I got into Spiderland, which is a great album). Haven't heard much else, so sounds like he's made a positive recovery.

 

Not sure about the Yeah Yeah Yeahs thing, but I know he played in Zwan. I was very disturbed to hear about his suicide attempt. I hope he is doing better now.

Exactly. Like I said I heard it at 3:am while working by myself. It may not have had the same effect if I heard it during the day or in a different situation. I had never heard of them before.
