Very good remaster... I think it's the best available remaster. This time the Rhino folks did a very good job... but that's my opinion... maybe Steve disagree...

It's very good(box). If someone did an Audiophile release of "Captain & Me" and "Once Were Vices", it would be a very nice thing too.

Rhino will release Captain & Me, Carly Simon's Secrets, Grateful Dead's Workingman's Dead, Billy Cobham's Spectrum.... but on DVD-A.

I'd buy Capt & Me, also Workingman's in a snap. Sounds good! I'm glad more titles are progressing!

I got the boxed set for Christmas and except for getting things like "Cheat The Hangman" and a couple of other songs, truly when I listen to the Doobies I listen to the DCC disc. Besides, they left off "Wheels of Fortune" and used the single version of "Listen To The Music". This is one of those cases when even someone with an uneducated ear knows when something sounds right-- even when they can't tell you why. Save your money and get the DCC Gold CD-- it just sounds "right".

Eh...I'd have to disagree with Dough:

    - I quite like the single edit of Listen To The Music.

    - While the mastering is generally good on the DCC disc, the aforementioned Listen To The Music is ruined by tape damage problems. Here's a case where I'd much prefer to hear a nice copy than the master itself.

Taking It To The Streets: I don't think so.

Michael MacDonald is the Peter Cetera of the Doobies (sorry).

Yes I agree, Michael McDonald took the Doobies In the wrong direction. How are the single remasters of the first four albums?
