Probably best-known for "The End," Earl was a top-notch talent. One of those smooth, effortless vocal styles that's easy to listen to.

There is a cd still available (and much cheaper than when I bought it!), with an excellent sampling of his music.

I wish I still had 2 or 3 LPs of his I once owned.

And then there was a kick-a$$ SUPERB little instrumental from 1962 called "Swingin' Gently!"

I picked up 12 near perfect lp's by Earl Grant at a garage sale saturday for a couple of dollars. I had never heard his music. I am amazed at how enjoyable these records are. Incredibly smooth vocals with mild jazz instrumentation. Great sound on the Decca stereo records also. I feel very lucky to have found these and am going to enjoy them for a long time. I can't believe that you just don't hear this guys name. He is truly the Rodney Dangerfield of the crooners. Check him out! :righton:

Not the type of music he was known for, but I can hear why it is popular now :)

I thought it was "House Of Bamboo", as reissued on 12" in the eighties along with "Fever"
