Elvis - "Kentucky Rain"- Is The Original Mix Available on CD?

I have several versions of this song on CD, but NONE of them even closely resemble the original mix.
I think the original single was mono, but was a stereo mix done in 1970? I seem to recall reading somewhere that the original LP version of "Elvis' Golden Records Vol. 5" which was released in the late 70's or early 80's included a true stereo mix. This title was issued on CD in the early days of CDs, and later reissued with bonus tracks. Do any of our "early pressing CD" collectors have the original pressing of this to verify if the original mix of "Kentucky Rain" is on there?? Or is this another one to add to the list of mixes that have vanished into the digital ozone?

 

I have "Elvis Gold Records Vol. 5" CD remaster and the single of "Kentucy Rain". I always thought the stereo mix on Vol. 5 was the original mix. I could very well be wrong, though.
