I haven't yet fallen for a back-up singer. But I think Bruce Springsteen did. :)

Well, you kind of beat me to the punch. Yes, I will admit that I had a crush on a redhead whose name is Patti. But the way, Bruce and her were singing so closely together during parts of the songs on the Tunnel of Love Express Tour, you knew that she was pretty much taken.
This is a true story. A friend of mine and I both thought (naively), during the first part of the U.S. tour, that it was just part of the show. By the end of the tour, all of us in the audience no longer had wool over our eyes.

I don't know either of their names, but Arthur Brown's current touring keyboardist and Jackson Browne's white backing vocalist made Glastonbury extra special for me this year.

  6. In love, no. In lust, most definitely. :) I'm not a fan of Tina Turner but I recall seeing a DVD of one of her concerts a while back and I found myself watching one her two back-up singers/dancers more than I watched Tina herself. :D An African-American girl, extremely fit, fantastic athletic body, beautiful face. I have no idea who she is?

I always had a thing for Lisa Germano when she was in Mellancamps band.

Gotta love a girl, who calls her first solo LP, 'Geek The Girl'. EDIT: It was her third solo LP.

Her voice gives me the whole-body shivers, and she's yummy to look at, too. :)

Does Meg White count as a 'background singer'?

RE: Merry Clayton. When her voice cracks in Gimme Shelter, it still gives me chills. Even after all these years.

I saw Leon Russell in Santa Fe a few years back at the Paramount. His daughter was singing backup and using a shaker. I thought she was stunningly good looking. Wow!

    Russell married Mary McCreary.
Speaking of Claudia Linnear, you can spot her at 'Concert For Bangladesh' wearing an orange sweater.

Oh my, thanks for that blast from the past! I'd totally forgotten about her. I loved that video SOLELY because of Rachel - she was so damned hot!

I think PC looks much better now than she did back in the 90s. I think she's very attractive today - seeing her live next week, in fact - but was so-so when she sang backup for Pete...

I'm not sure she even qualifies as a background drummer! :D

I always thought Donna Delory - who sang with Madonna for many years - was cute. And Maddy had a very attractive new backup singer on her last tour, but I don't know her name and I'm too lazy to check! :)

I thought her harmonies really made Jeff's voice sound much better.

Agreed - I am still stunned to this day that was done in 1969. A backing vocal ahead of its time if there ever was one. Incredible.
