Yeah, that was great. I didn't think much of Mike's recitation from Jabberwocky though, which just seemed out of place, forced and just an attempt to give the character some "cool" factor, which he doesn't nee anymore.
HA! If Peggy would have saved the money she probably spent on those magazines, she would have beat it from that 'museum of the past' years ago.
Random thoughts... Why did Hank leave the Blumquist house without checking on Peggy? Peggy (not arrested) because she still needs to get to her seminar in Sioux Falls because that's where the massacre that the whole series is building towards happens. Good to see Bear listen, and use logic, to turn down a fight (unlike his brother Dodd) for the well being of his son We now know what Karl's purpose is in this. And his stepping outside only to step right back in and block the entry way by sitting on a bench was awesome.
I'm wondering if Peggy doesn't come up from the basement, step over Hank, and take off in a vehicle; either Ed's or Dodd's. When Hank wakes up, she's gone.
Series 2 is FAR better than series 1! I always thought S1 tried too hard with the quirkiness and some half-interesting characters. There's nice humour (Karl) and true tension about what is going to happen in the next episode!
This show flies by like no other. And they give you bonus minutes! Five minutes in to Castle and I'm climbing the walls.
Indeed, that alludes to one of the 'meta' references in the episode - the line Lou gives at the police station standoff: "This kind of thing didn't work in Westerns, and it's not going to work tonight". There was another meta reference, but it escapes me at the moment...
No evidence yet, just (correct) assumption on the part of the cops. Once they got the blood test results (from the car) back from the lab, they would have something to arrest or question her on. I guess they aren't considering her dangerous or a flight risk and have been trying to ease her into coming clean and cooperating.
My wife was in bed sick yesterday and binge watched all th season 2 episodes. I sat and re watched most of them with her. That's how good this show is. Loved them all as much the second time and I just freakin' watched them!
So, just for fun, I'd like to get a poll going before tonight's episode, but I don't want to start a new thread, so just post your answer in a reply: Dodd -- Dead or alive?
I think he's going to end up dead. And there isn't much left in the season, right? So...I'm going with dead
And damn this is over too quick! I'm speaking honestly here, this season is the most well put together show since Breaking Bad. Not that it's better, but I feel that same giddy feeling before each episode that not even Better Call Saul evokes. Strong words, I know.
